Accredited by UKAS, Independent Environmental Surveyors (inspection body 4140) can carry out each type of survey as described in the Health and Safety Executive’s document MDHS 100 – Surveying, Sampling and Assessment of Asbestos Containing Materials, these are:

• Type 1 survey – Location and assessment survey (presumptive Survey)
• Type 2 survey – Standard sampling, identification and assessment survey (sampling survey)
• Type 3 survey – Full access, sampling and assessment (pre-demolition / major refurbishment) survey

All asbestos surveys are carried out by highly experienced staff that are qualified to BOHS P402 as a minimum and are backed up by a management team that has over 100 years combined experience within the asbestos industry.

On completion of the survey a report will be issued either in our own format, or in a format to suit the client. This report will document all asbestos containing materials (ACM’s) and include an asbestos register, colour photos of ACM’s, CAD drawings showing locations of ACM’s with practical advice on how to manage ACM’s and comply with all related legislation.
